Until next time

Cari ascoltatori, this installment was really packed with information! Spooky mansions and noblewomen-turned-performance artists, dangling sharp swords and the nuclear threat during the Cold War… just to name a few of the topics we’ve covered today!

Well, grammar-wise, too, today’s episode was a challenging one! That’s for sure! Today we’ve learned that the passato prossimo and the imperfetto are often used together in Italian to express nuanced past actions. We’ve also made great progress in the realm of modal verbs. As we know now, dovere, potere, and volere change their meaning depending on whether they are used in the imperfetto or the passato prossimo.

All right my friends, that’s it for today. You know the rules of the game! Make time to study the material in advance. Listen to the dialogs over and over again. This way you’ll be able to improve your listening comprehension skills. Io vi saluto e vi do appuntamento alla prossima puntata!
