Essere ferrato è un’espressione popolare utilizzata con riferimento alla preparazione di una persona in un determinato campo. In altre parole, significa essere competenti, preparati, conoscere bene una certa materia, oppure essere esperti in uno specifico campo. Dire, ad esempio, di essere ferrati nella storia d’Italia, equivale a dire che si conosce molto bene la storia d’Italia.
